Donald and Lorraine “technically” met when he was 2 and she was 4 months old. Home from the war in Europe he met her again at a family gathering and from their first date, each knew they’d get married – a union that lasted “65 years, 4 months and 8 days”, producing three children. (Donald’s still amazed at how much his wife loved ironing!) He took care of her right up until the end and says he still dreams about her.
